1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Core Play Together ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of coreplaytogether.com and our associated community spaces, including our Discord server (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining our Discord, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf and is aware of your participation in the community. We may ask for reasonable confirmation of age or guardian consent where we have concerns about compliance with this section.

3. Description of the service

Core Play Together is a community platform for gamers in Australia. The Service includes a teammate finder, game-discussion boards, an events calendar, community-run tournaments, and voice lounges hosted through Discord. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time as the community evolves, and we don't guarantee that any specific feature will remain available indefinitely.

4. Your account

To access most features, you'll need an account, which may be linked to your Discord identity. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date;
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others;
  • Maintain one personal account, rather than creating multiple accounts to evade a moderation action; and
  • Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, except where that activity results from a security failure on our part.

5. Community guidelines and acceptable use

Core Play Together only works if members treat each other well. When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against another member on any basis, including race, gender, sexuality, disability, or skill level;
  • Cheat, boost, or promote cheating software in any game discussed or organised through the community;
  • Share another person's private information without their consent (doxxing);
  • Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or unrelated commercial content;
  • Impersonate another member, moderator, or organisation; or
  • Use the teammate finder, events calendar, or voice lounges for any unlawful purpose.

We enforce these guidelines through a graduated response that may include a warning, a temporary suspension, removal from a specific event or tournament, or a permanent ban, depending on the severity and history of the behaviour. Decisions on enforcement sit with our moderation team, acting reasonably and in the interests of the wider community.

6. User content

You retain ownership of the posts, messages, profile details, and other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Core Play Together a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of operating the community — for example, showing a forum post to other members or listing your tournament sign-up. You confirm that you have the right to post your User Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

7. Events and tournaments

Game nights, tournaments, and other events are organised by the community on a best-efforts basis. Unless an event page states otherwise, participation is free and any prizes, if offered, will be described on the relevant event listing. We may reschedule, modify, or cancel an event where reasonably necessary — for example, due to low sign-up numbers or a change affecting the underlying game — and will let registered participants know as soon as practical.

8. Third-party platforms and trademarks

Core Play Together is an independent, community-run project. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Riot Games, Valve, Epic Games, Mojang Studios, Microsoft, Activision, Discord, or any other publisher or platform mentioned on this site. Game names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the Service belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the games our community plays.

9. Intellectual property

Apart from User Content and third-party trademarks referenced above, the design, text, graphics, and code that make up the Service are owned by Core Play Together or our licensors. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, but may not copy, reproduce, or repurpose our site design or written content without our prior written permission.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the reliability, availability, or accuracy of the Service, including the outcome of any teammate match, event, or tournament. To the extent permitted by law, Core Play Together will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including our Community Guidelines, or if we reasonably believe your continued access poses a risk to other members or to the Service itself. Where practical, we will explain the reason for a suspension or termination and provide a way to appeal the decision.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the community and Service evolve. We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever we do, and we'll announce significant changes within the community ahead of time. Continuing to use the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Contact us

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@coreplaytogether.com. For anything related to privacy specifically, see our Privacy Policy or contact privacy@coreplaytogether.com directly.
